The story of Precision and Machine Repair began long before the doors of the shop officially opened. The owner first discovered machining while taking metal shop classes at Zeeland High School in Zeeland, Michigan. After graduating in 2005, he entered the machining industry full-time while continuing his education through evening machining courses at Grand Rapids Community College.
Working in West Michigan provided years of valuable hands-on experience in an area known for its strong manufacturing and machining industry. During that time, he developed his skills, learned the trade, and gained experience working with the precision and attention to detail that quality machining requires. He had always hoped to own a machine shop of his own someday, but with so many established machining companies throughout West Michigan, finding the right opportunity was difficult.
That opportunity came after he and his family relocated to Warrenton, Georgia.
In August 2022, Precision and Machine Repair was started with a simple setup: one manual mill, one manual lathe, and a focus primarily on equipment and component repair. What began as a small local machine shop steadily grew as customers brought in more projects, more challenging repairs, and new manufacturing needs.
Since then, the shop has expanded well beyond its beginnings. Precision and Machine Repair has grown into a full CNC machining and fabrication operation capable of manufacturing new precision components, producing custom parts, supporting production work, and continuing to provide the repair services that helped build the business from the beginning.
Today, the same hands-on approach remains at the center of the company. Whether the job involves repairing an existing component, recreating a hard-to-find part, producing a prototype, or manufacturing something entirely new, Precision and Machine Repair is built around practical solutions, quality workmanship, and a commitment to getting the job done right.
